Registration/Upgrade

To register, please launch PIE, tap PIEPlus icon in the toolbar of PIE, tap [Register...] menu. Then enter the email address and the registration key.
If you're a registered user, you can use the same major version update freely. For instance, if you registered V1.x, you can use V1.1 or V1.2 or any other V1.x.
Please uninstall the previous version and download the latest 14 days trial and install it to upgrade. If you registered the previous version, the trial will be registered automatically while upgrade.

PIEPlus does not work

You should install PIEPlus to the main memory. If you install it on a storage card, it may not work properly.

To launch PIEPlus, you don't need to launch PIEPlus. PIEPlus is launched automatically when you start your device. Just launch PIE, Pocket Internet Explorer, then you can find PIEPlus icon on the toolbar of PIE.

If you installed MultiIE, uninstall it and soft-reset. PIEPlus does not work with MultiIE.

If you installed PocketPlus, turn off PIE extension in PocketPlus option. To turn it off, please tap [Start Menu] -> [Settings] -> [System] tab -> [Pocket Plus] icon -> uncheck [Pocket Internet Explorer].

If PWO, Pocket Web Optimizer, does not work, please check that [Fit to Screen] in [View] menu of PIE is turned on.

If you don't have MultiIE or PocketPlus, please see Known problems below.

Known Problems

Some pages which write HTML code in Javascript can not be optimized with PWO.

On Pocket PC 2000/2002, the framed pages can not be optimized with PWO. You can tap [Go To Frame] menu to see optimized page.

On Pocket PC 2000/2002, the context menu of framed page will be shown as the default context menu of PIE. You can tap [Go To Frame] menu to use PIEPlus's customized menu.

On WM 2003, PIE has a bug to detect html. If the web server sends content type with charset according to HTTP/1.1 specification, PIE does not recognize the page as text/html. We can make it to work by modifying some registry values. Please send the url of the page at the support page to add the charset in the next version.
AvantGo pages on WM 2003 will not be optimized with PWO.
PIE can be identified as PIE even though the identification of PIE was set to IE 6.0.

PIEPlus makes my system slower on XDA II

Some users with XDA II reported that PIEPlus makes their system slower. Some of them reported that the problem went away after hard-reset. And some users reported that their system seems clearly better after doing the following method. If you have the same problem, please change the registry as followed. We'll keep trying to solve this problem.

PIEPlus detect the launch of PIE in a regular interval. The default interval is 250 ms (milli second). You can change this value from 200 to 1000.

If you have registry editor, then go to step 2. Or please download PHM Registry Editor from the original site or ReenSoft. You may need to copy the cab file with the name of Merlin for PPC 2002/WM 2003 or Rapier for PPC 2000 to your device and tap this file on File Explorer if it does not install properly.
Launch registry editor and open the registry key /HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/ReenSoft/PIEPlus. Then tap [Edit] menu -> [New DWORD Value]. Enter Interval for the value name, 1000 to the value data, set the base to decimal as the default. Then tap [OK] button.
Soft-reset your device.

Now PIEPlus checks the launch of PIE every 1000ms. It may not optimize the first page when PIE launches. But other pages will be optimized well after the first page. If this works well, you can reduce the interval as small as possible.

Uninstall

1. Normal uninstall procedure.

If you have the device with phone like Samsung i-700, please soft reset before removal.
Tap [Start] menu -> [Settings] -> [System] tab -> [Remove Programs] -> [ReenSoft PIEPlus] -> [Remove] button
Then [Yes] to soft reset. Then remove again as previous method.
You don't need 2nd and 3rd procedure if the first procedure works for you.

2. If the first normal uninstall procedure does not work.

Tap [Start] menu -> [Programs] -> [File Explorer] -> Select [\Windows\Startup] -> Tap and hold [PIEPlus] -> Select [Delete] menu
Soft reset. Then remove as the first normal uninstall procedure.

3. If second uninstall procedure does not work.

Remove as second procedure.

Remove [ReenSoft PIEPlus.DAT] and [ReenSoft PIEPlus.DLL] in \Windows\AppMgr with File Explorer

Remove [\Program Files\PIEPlus] with File Explorer

If you have registry editor, then go to next step. Or please download PHM Registry Editor from the original site or ReenSoft. You may need to copy the cab file with the name of Merlin for PPC 2002/WM 2003 or Rapier for PPC 2000 to your device and tap this file on File Explorer if it does not install properly.
And delete the following registry keys.

Pocket View Options

Split text longer than x characters. If a text is too long for screen width, it'll make horizontall scroll bar. So PIEPlus split long text. Tap here to see the example.
Split text of <PRE> tag. This option is avaliable only on PPC 2000/2002. On WM 2003, PIE makes it to fit to page automatically without PIEPlus. The <PRE> tag may be used for showing the pre-formatted text like javascript code. Tap here to see the example.
